Pool Rules
  • ALL RESIDENT and NON-RESIDENT MEMBERS AND GUESTS MUST CHECK-IN USING THE DIGITAL CHECK-IN SYSTEM BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL AREA. GUESTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A MEMBER (RESIDENT OR NON RESIDENT).
  • Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult until they have passed a deep water test. See Lifeguard staff for details.
  • The baby pool is only for preschool children (5 and under) with DIRECT AND CONTINUOUS PARENT SUPERVISION. THERE WILL BE NO LIFEGUARD STATIONED AT THE BABY POOL. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARENT TO WATCH THEIR CHILDREN.
  • Glass containers are prohibited inside the pool area.  Alcohol is permitted in non-glass containers only.
  • Food is allowed inside the pool area, but it is the responsibility of each pool member to keep the pool clean of trash. PLEASE KEEP THE POOL AREA CLEAN.
  • NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN THE POOL AREA.
  • Bikes, skateboards, and animals are to be kept outside the pool area and away from the entrance.
  • Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. All dives shall be straight off the end of the board.
  • No playing on, hanging from, or diving from the swim team starting blocks except during swim meets, swim team practices, and lessons unless authorized by the pool staff.
  • Floatation devices and balls are permitted in the shallow end of the pool only and at the discretion of the pool staff.
  • Running, rough play, and foul or abusive language are not allowed. Pool staff may require anyone who is a discipline problem to sit out or leave the pool area.
  • Radios, CD players, etc. may be used with headphones ONLY.
  • Persons with skin infections, respiratory illness, or contagious illness are requested to not use the pool.
  • Adult swim is reserved for adults (18 and older) and infants in arms of parents and runs from 15 minutes to the hour until the top of the hour.
  • Except for adult swim, use of the pool is permitted only when a lifeguard(s) is on duty.
  • Accidents resulting in injury must be reported to the pool staff immediately.
  • Report any perceived unsafe conditions to the Pool Manager, Head Guard on duty, and/or to the district’s website:  Contact Form Member Only – A Lake Pool and Courts
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Pool Manager, Head Guard on duty, and/or to the district’s website:  Contact Form Member Only – A Lake Pool and Courts
  • Socializing with the pool staff while on duty is not permitted.
  • The Park District shall not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property or theft of property while at the pool.
  • The lap lane shall be open at all times for lap swimming only. No sitting or hanging on the lap lane rope is allowed.

Violations of the District’s Rules and Regulations may result in suspension or revocation of a person’s membership and authorization to use the District’s facilities.
