Court Rules

Only Arapahoe Lake residents, their guests, and non-residents who have paid their annual fee may use the courts.  These are not public courts.  Access to the courts is enabled by digital key pads located on the Northeast and Southwest gates.  To access the courts please contact Amy Shearer @ (303)886-9126.  Access codes should not be shared.

HOURS: Daily, 6 AM – 10 PM. The lights are turned on at a box on the North side of court 2 and go off automatically at 10 PM.  Please turn-off lights when leaving.  

MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS: All maintenance issues including broken gates and blocks should be reported to Amy Shearer (303) 886-9126.

COURT USE: Court usage is on a first-come, first-first serve basis.  Courts should be surrendered on the hour in the event all four courts are utilized and other players are waiting.

EXCEPTIONS:  Occasionally, the Park District will hold a tournament in association with a sponsored picnic and all courts my be reserved for a short period.  Members can expect an email detailing these times to be distributed at least 48 hours in advance of the event.

KEEPING THE COURTS CLEAN, SAFE AND MAINTAINED:

  • Only tennis and pickle ball may be played on the courts.  Bicycles, roller-blades, skateboards and all other sports are prohibited.
  • Please take all your trash with you when you leave.
  • Glassware and food is not permitted on the courts.
  • Alcohol is permitted in non-glass containers only.
  • Outside tables, chairs and shades should not be placed directly on court surface.    
  • No sitting, leaning, pulling or otherwise disturbing the nets.
  • Keep the gates closed and locked at all times. Don’t prop the doors open, jam rocks or anything else in the locks.  
  • Be conscientious when entering and exiting the courts to limit disturbing other players.  Please wait until there is a break in play before crossing a court that is in use.
  • Be conscientious when playing music.
  • Please wear smooth bottomed tennis shoes.  No black soles.  
  • No snow shoveling or removing ice from the courts.
  • Use the squeegee to remove excess water.
